Students in Kuala Lumpur can take online one-to-one Cambridge IGCSE tuition from home. A team of teachers runs the service, and an experienced teacher is assigned after your WhatsApp enquiry. The first step is a paid one-hour trial lesson at the assigned teacher’s confirmed rate, starting from RM80.
Is there a branch in Kuala Lumpur?
No. There are no branches, classrooms or addresses. The service is online, and every lesson takes place on your own laptop, tablet or computer.
Kuala Lumpur already has a wide choice of schools and classes, so the reason to consider online tuition is fit, not availability. A lesson built around your questions, at a time that works after school, is a different thing from another group class. Our Malaysia page shows how the same service reaches every state.
Which parts of Kuala Lumpur do students study from?
Students can enquire from anywhere in the territory. Areas that come up most are Kuala Lumpur, Bukit Jalil, Setapak, Kepong, Wangsa Maju, Mont Kiara, Bangsar, Sri Petaling, Sentul.
These neighbourhoods sit in very different school settings. A student near Mont Kiara or Bangsar may be at an international school, a student in Setapak or Kepong at a national or private school, and all of them may be following IGCSE or preparing to move into it. Online lessons do not depend on which of these you attend.
How do I choose among Kuala Lumpur’s schooling options?
The city has national, private and international schools, and tuition and learning centres besides. That choice is yours and your family’s, and we do not rank or compare schools. What we can say is how to use individual tuition next to whichever route you take.
Try this short check before you add any class to a busy week.
- List which subjects your school already teaches to IGCSE level, and which you study mostly by yourself.
- Mark the topics where you can follow the class but cannot yet answer a blank question alone.
- Count the evenings you already spend in travel or group classes.
- Decide what one extra hour a week would need to do for you.
If one subject stands out, read its subject tuition page and the individual-teaching example there.
How do I plan lessons around a KL week?
Lesson times are agreed directly between you and the teacher after the trial. Kuala Lumpur uses Malaysian time, like the rest of the country, so scheduling is about your own timetable, not a time zone.
Since there is no commute to fit in, a lesson can start soon after you reach home. Quiet spaces are harder in a busy household, so pick the room and the device beforehand, and keep paper and notes beside you.
What should I ask my own exam centre?
Registration, entry, results and access arrangements belong to your exam centre and Cambridge, not to us. Some students in Kuala Lumpur sit as school candidates, others as private candidates through a centre. Ask your centre:
- Which IGCSE subjects and syllabus codes can I enter through you?
- What are your registration deadlines and entry fees, including for private candidates?
- Where and when do I sit each paper, including any practical component?
- Who do I contact about access arrangements or a clash in my timetable?
Our exam guide covers how entry works in general. Confirm current syllabus details on the Cambridge website.

How do I start?
Send a WhatsApp enquiry with the subject, your level and the area you study from. A teacher is assigned, the rate is confirmed before the lesson, and the paid one-hour trial follows. Other fees and schedules are agreed with the teacher afterwards. See how it works, the trial details or all subjects.
