This section is for students aged 14 to 17 who want a clear way through Cambridge IGCSE. The guides start from situations students describe: a subject that feels behind, a revision plan that keeps failing, or a paper type that never seems to go well.
What will you find here?
Each guide looks at one situation and works through it in the same way. It describes what you are feeling, the academic reasons that might sit behind it, a worked example and steps you can take alone. Where it is honest to say so, the guide also says when paid individual lessons could be worth considering.
There are study routes for each subject, revision guides built around your actual gaps, and advice on choosing between Core and Extended, starting late and balancing several subjects.
How do you navigate this section?
- Find your subject or your situation in the cards below.
- Read the guide from top to bottom once, then keep the steps as a checklist.
- Follow the links to lessons and practice pages for the topics the guide points to.
- Use a planning tool to turn the steps into a timetable.
Will these guides replace a teacher?
Often they will not need to. Many students make real progress with a clear route, original practice and a mistake log. Self-study may be enough when your gaps are small and you can find your own errors.
Individual teaching helps most when you cannot see why an answer is wrong, or when the same mistake keeps coming back. A teacher can watch your reasoning in real time and respond to it. Learn more about tuition across the subjects or how the paid trial works.
