Students in W.P. Labuan can take online one-to-one Cambridge IGCSE tuition from home. We are a team of teachers, and an experienced teacher is assigned after your WhatsApp enquiry. The first step is a paid one-hour trial lesson at the assigned teacher’s confirmed rate, starting from RM80.
Can I study online from Labuan?
Yes. Labuan is a federal territory made up of an island, and the service is online, so the teacher does not need to be on the island or in any particular town. There are no branches, classrooms or addresses to visit.
The territory is treated as one area, with Labuan town as its place name in our records. A student anywhere on the island can enquire, and the lesson is the same online lesson as for students elsewhere in Malaysia. Read the Malaysia coverage page for how every state and territory fits together.
Why might online one-to-one suit a student on Labuan?
Because the lesson comes to you. You do not need a school or a class to offer your subject, and you do not plan a day around travel. That matters most for a subject that is uncommon in your school, such as a language or a less usual option.
Use this quick check to see whether individual lessons could help.
- Name the subject you most want support in.
- Note whether it is taught to IGCSE level at your school, and how often.
- Pick one topic where you cannot yet answer a blank question alone.
- Decide whether you would rather revise it yourself first or bring it to a teacher.
If self-study is enough for now, use the free study tools. If you would like a teacher to see your working, enquire about a trial.
How do I prepare my connection and device?
Preparation is mostly about a steady link and a quiet space. Test a video call at the hour you plan to study. Sit close to the router, and keep a second device or mobile data ready.
Tell the teacher before the trial if the connection can be unsteady. The two of you can then agree a plan, such as audio with shared notes. Keep paper, a pen and your school notes beside you.
How does scheduling work from Labuan?
Labuan shares Malaysian time with the rest of the country, so there is no time difference to calculate. After the trial, you and the teacher agree lesson times around school hours, homework and family commitments.
If you are preparing for exams, plan revision sessions a little before the week you need them. That leaves room to repeat a lesson if a connection problem interrupts it.
What should I ask my own exam centre?
We are not an exam centre. Registration, entry, results and access arrangements belong to your exam centre and Cambridge, so ask them directly. For a student on an island territory, these questions matter most:
- Which IGCSE subjects and syllabus codes does the centre enter, and are all of mine included?
- Where will I sit each paper, and will I need to travel for any component?
- What are the entry deadlines and fees, including for private candidates?
- Who do I contact about access arrangements or a timetable clash?
Our exam guide explains how entry works in general. Confirm current syllabus details on the Cambridge website.

How do I start?
Send a WhatsApp enquiry with your subject and level, and say you study in Labuan. A teacher is assigned, the rate is confirmed before the lesson, and the paid one-hour trial follows. Other fees and schedules are agreed with the teacher afterwards. See how it works, the trial details or all subjects.
