This set mixes the four skills from listening for key information: picking the requested detail, hearing a correction, separating similar numbers and times, and reviewing with a transcript. The questions are original and run from easier to harder.
How should I use this set?
Each question has a transcript in French. The transcripts are here so that you can have them read aloud, or record yourself reading them, as in real practice.
- Ask a friend or family member to read the transcript once, or record it yourself and play it back with the page covered.
- Read the question in advance and predict the kind of answer.
- Write your answer and mark yourself sure, unsure or guess.
- Open the answer, then follow the routine in reviewing a missed detail.

After the set, count how many errors fall in each row. The row with the most errors is the one to practise next, using new recordings read by someone else.
If you want a teacher to play recordings for you and stop at the points where you slip, online one-to-one French tuition works in exactly that way.
