Online IGCSE tuition for Johor students

Your IGCSE timetable and your school timetable do not always line up, and that is the first thing to sort out.

We teach Cambridge IGCSE online, one-to-one, to students anywhere in Malaysia, including every district of Johor. There is no branch to travel to, because the classroom is your laptop and a teacher assigned to you.

The offer is simple. You send a WhatsApp enquiry, an experienced teacher is assigned, and you book a paid one-hour trial at that teacher’s confirmed rate, starting from RM80. The trial terms and the full enquiry steps are set out on their own pages. 9,000+ students helped through our service across Malaysia.

Where in Johor do we teach?

We serve students online across the state. The districts are Batu Pahat, Johor Bahru, Kluang, Kota Tinggi, Mersing, Muar, Pontian, Segamat, Kulai and Tangkak.

Families write to us from towns such as Johor Bahru, Iskandar Puteri, Pasir Gudang, Skudai, Kulai, Kluang, Batu Pahat, Muar, Tangkak, Segamat, Pontian, Kota Tinggi and Mersing. These are places we serve online. We do not run a venue in any of them, and we make no claim about local teachers or local availability.

How does a Johor school week change lesson planning?

Since 1 January 2025, Johor has followed a Saturday and Sunday weekend, the same as most of the country. Families who planned tuition around the old Friday weekend may need to rethink which days are free. So it helps to be specific from the start.

When you enquire, tell us which days you are at school, when co-curricular activities end, and which evenings are protected for family or religious commitments. A teacher can then propose times that work.

Some students prefer a Saturday or Sunday morning lesson, since those days are free of school. Others choose a short weekday evening. The pattern is agreed between you and the teacher, and it can be changed.

Check your school’s current calendar for term dates and holidays, as these can change from year to year. Do not rely on another state’s dates.

What should I prepare for online lessons?

Good preparation matters more than fancy equipment. Before the trial, check four things:

  • A laptop or tablet with a working camera and microphone, and headphones so the teacher is clear.
  • A connection you have tested at the time of day you plan to study. Evening speeds at home can differ from daytime, so test in the evening if lessons will be then.
  • A way to show handwriting: a stylus tablet, or a phone held above your paper. Maths, sciences and accounting need visible working.
  • A quiet corner, your past papers, your syllabus copy and a notebook of questions you got wrong.

Malaysia has one time zone, so there is no clock difference to think about between Johor and any other state.

What if I also follow a school programme in English or an international curriculum?

Some Johor students take IGCSE as a private candidate alongside the national track. Others sit it through their school. Either way, your timetable carries extra load in the months before papers. Use the realistic revision planner to see how many hours a week you can actually give a subject, then bring that number to your first lesson.

If you are unsure which syllabus code or exam year applies to you, the syllabus and exam-year navigator shows what to check on the Cambridge subject page.

Who handles exam registration and venue questions?

Your exam centre handles registration, entry, results and access arrangements, along with Cambridge. We are not an exam centre and cannot enter you for papers.

Ask your own centre these questions early: what is the entry deadline, which series is offered, where will the papers be sat, what is the fee, and is there a process for access arrangements? If you are a private candidate, ask how far the centre is from your town, since a Johor student from Mersing or Segamat may need to plan travel on exam days. Confirm those details directly with the centre.

Which subjects can I enquire about?

Every subject tuition page below follows the same online one-to-one format.

For the wider picture, see tuition across Malaysia and how the tuition service works.

How do I start?

Message us on WhatsApp with your subject, your year and the days you can study. We will assign a teacher, confirm their rate before the lesson, and arrange your one-hour trial. Fees and schedules after that are agreed directly between you and the teacher.

Questions people ask

Do you have a centre in Johor Bahru or anywhere else in Johor?

No. We have no branches or classrooms. Lessons are online and one-to-one, so a student in Mersing or Tangkak joins the same way as a student in Johor Bahru: a WhatsApp enquiry, an assigned teacher, then a paid one-hour trial from RM80.

Johor changed its weekend in 2025. Does that affect lesson times?

Only in how you plan. Since 1 January 2025, Johor follows a Saturday and Sunday weekend, so older timetables built around a Friday weekend may no longer fit. Tell us your current school days, co-curricular hours and exam dates when you enquire, and lesson times are arranged between you and the teacher.

Do I need special equipment for online lessons?

A laptop or tablet, a stable connection, headphones and a way to show handwritten working are enough. A phone camera pointed at your paper works if you do not own a stylus tablet. Test it once before the trial.

Who registers me for the Cambridge exams?

Your exam centre does, usually your school or a private candidate centre. We are not an exam centre. Ask your centre about entry deadlines, fees, venue and access arrangements, because those decisions sit with them and Cambridge.
