We teach Cambridge IGCSE online, one-to-one, to students across Kedah. You do not need to live near a city, because the lesson happens on your screen with a teacher assigned to you.
The steps are short. Send a WhatsApp enquiry, we assign an experienced teacher, and you book a paid one-hour trial at that teacher’s confirmed rate, starting from RM80. Later fees and schedules are agreed directly with the teacher after the trial. 9,000+ students helped through our service across Malaysia.
Which parts of Kedah do you serve?
We serve students online in all of these districts: Baling, Bandar Baharu, Kota Setar, Kuala Muda, Kubang Pasu, Kulim, Langkawi, Padang Terap, Sik, Yan, Pendang and Pokok Sena.
That includes students in Alor Setar, Sungai Petani, Kulim, Jitra, Pendang, Baling, Kuah, Kuala Kedah, Yan and across Langkawi. We have no venue in any of these places. You study from home or school hostel, and the lesson comes to you.
Does living on an island or far inland change anything?
The teaching does not change, but your setup matters a little more. A student in Langkawi or in a quieter part of Baling or Sik may have a less predictable connection than one in Alor Setar, so a test run pays off.
Before the trial, open a video call with a friend at the hour you plan to study. Check that the picture holds and the audio is clear. Keep a mobile hotspot as a backup, and tell the teacher at the start if you are on a weaker link. A teacher can slow down, use shorter written steps, and keep your working on screen.
How does the Kedah school week affect lesson times?
Kedah schools run Sunday to Thursday, with Friday and Saturday as the weekend. That means Friday afternoon and Saturday can be open for a longer lesson, while Sunday to Thursday evenings are often shorter because of school the next day.
Kedah students also plan around Friday prayers, tahfiz or religious classes, and school hostel routines. We do not assume any of these apply to you. Give the teacher your real week, and a sensible pattern is agreed between you. Check your school’s own calendar for term dates and holidays, since these are set per year.
What about boarding school students?
Some Kedah students attend boarding schools where device hours are limited. If that is you, ask your school what is allowed, when devices are permitted and where you can sit for a video lesson. A school-holiday lesson pattern may suit better than weeknights.
If you return home for long weekends or breaks, tell the teacher the dates. Short, focused lessons in those windows can keep a subject moving.
What do I prepare for lessons?
- A laptop or tablet with camera, microphone and headphones.
- A tested connection at your lesson time, plus a hotspot as backup.
- A stylus tablet or a phone held above your paper, so your handwritten working is visible.
- Your past-paper mistakes, collected in one place. The mistake log and retest queue gives you a simple structure.
Malaysia has a single time zone, so there is no clock difference between Kedah and the rest of the country.
Who looks after my exam entry?
Your exam centre, together with Cambridge. We are not an exam centre. Ask the centre for the entry deadline, the series offered, the fee, the venue and how to request access arrangements. If you are a private candidate and the centre is in another town, ask early so you can plan the journey.
To check which syllabus and exam year applies, the syllabus and exam-year navigator points you to the right Cambridge page.
